Job Title: Business Services Recruiter (Region 11) Job Location: Tifton, Georgia Salary: - $38633.00 Salary Frequency: Yearly Description: The Georgia Department of Labor is currently seeking highly motivated applicants to fill multiple Business Services Recruiter positions in Northwest, Middle, Southwest, Southern and Coastal Georgia. Applicant must reside in the region applying for. Region 11 - Southeast Counties: Atkinson, Bacon, Ben Hill, Berrien, Brantley, Brooks, Charlton, Clinch, Coffee, Cook, Echols, Irwin, Lanier, Lowndes, Pierce, Tift, Turner, & Ware. Essential Function and Responsibilities: Under broad supervision, provide career development and assessment services, job-training assistance, and/or other employment-related services. Conducts interviews with job, program or unemployment applicants to obtain the information needed to provide services. Develops and maintains cooperative relationships with area employers. Performs lead worker functions. Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas. Demonstrates the use of job listings to assist clients with skill building. Develops, conducts, and/or coordinates workshops and presentations to applicants on job readiness or the most current job search techniques. Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with local employers to develop opportunities for clients. Evaluates application information and determines initial or ongoing program eligibility. Performs job counseling with applicants to identify their abilities, needs, interests, and values in relation to job and career opportunities. Performs lead worker functions including assigning and reviewing subordinates work. Performs responsibilities with minimal supervision. Provides career development and assessment services to clients for the purpose of matching their application skill sets to vacancies. Refers applicants to services such as counseling, literacy or language instruction, transportation assistance, and childcare. Non-traditional hours are common, including weekends and overnights. Will include extensive travel requirements. Qualifications: Associate's degree from an accredited college or university AND one year of related experience OR High school diploma or GED AND three years of related experience required. Current, valid drivers' license required. Preferred Qualifications: Completion of an undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year college in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations. Experience in marketing, communication and cold-calling. Demonstrated experience organizing, presenting, and disseminating client requested information or data. Experience or training in all Microsoft applications. Experience presenting information, data to individuals and groups. Advertised Salary: $38,633.00/Year.
